Pee in the Bath

I've been on a bathroom kick lately. No reason I'm aware of. Something subconscious maybe?

I've had this cute Brazilian TV commercial in my bookmarks for quite a while and thought now would be a good time to share it. It's in Portuguese but the subtitles will make it all clear. If you think it's crude, that's okay. I think the Charmin bears with their leftover toilet paper pieces is crude too. At least this ACT-endorsed spot from South America has a grander point: To conserve water.

ACT stands for Advertising Community Together. Their website showcases advertisements and commercials that align with the statement, "Federating, promoting and inspiring responsible communication."

I can get behind that mission. (I won't tell you whether I can get behind their invocation.) Enjoy!

Ha Ha! So funny...I think because I was surprised there was a commercial suggesting such a thing. All I can think of is a conversation I had with some friends where a man assured us that EVERYONE pees in the shower, and of course a handful of ladies assured us they NEVER had. Not sure who was right, but I love that now it could be considered an environmentally friendly thing to do!

Thanks for sharing Sam. Started my day with a laugh.

PS. How coincidental that the word I have to "verify" below before posting my comment is "voidivil". Does the system know this ad is about voiding? :)

Interesting verify word, Melissa. I believe there's a Seinfeld episode on this topic of shower voiding.

I also wonder if the FCC would permit this ad in the U.S.

Glad I could pass along a laugh. The kids' voices are so darn cute that I couldn't pass it up.

I appreciated the animation, too. Was that Stephen Hawking peeing in the shower from his wheelchair?

My verify word is "tersch," which I can't tie in to the post's topic.

Oh, and Sam? I'm with you on that Charmin ad. It's disgusting.

Thanks, Sheila. Funny how a cartoon and bears totally changes what would otherwise be real naked people.

Kidding.

I did laugh at this Sam. The Stephen Hawking part really got me.

I'm just thinking, well, for the guys anyway, do we really need to be told to pee in the shower?

We use to turn on the shower or sink when trying to get our 2 (now 3)-year old to relax and pee in the toilet. Water wasted. Diapers saved. 'sall good!
