I asked him one day if there wasn't anything else he'd rather do. Who wants to work at 7-11?

He lightly smacked me in the head and said, "Doesn't matter what job you have, so long as you treat everything you do as a prayer."

I've never forgotten that.Billy Coffeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08988347213957444145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2101059195328496385.post-21222520575550323772009-01-07T19:39:00.000-05:002009-01-07T19:39:00.000-05:00thanks for visiting, kevin.so it was, as my southe...thanks for visiting, kevin.

so it was, as my southern aunt says, "the fear'a God" that instilled you with a good work ethic?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12125792591159561789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2101059195328496385.post-51811122054538120062009-01-07T18:11:00.000-05:002009-01-07T18:11:00.000-05:00My first "real" forty hour per week job as a youth...My first "real" forty hour per week job as a youth was as a dishwasher for a Christian Camp. 3 meals a day, 300-400 people per week, and a banquet or two. I knew if those dishes weren't clean and the silverware wasn't clean, I was toast in the name of Jesus! Ever since that first job, I wash dishes with the most careful of attention and with the right amount of hot water and dish soap. :)Holy Lands 2009https://www.blogger.com/profile/18033952019140092493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2101059195328496385.post-20933013677311912932009-01-07T17:10:00.000-05:002009-01-07T17:10:00.000-05:00josh, check out this interview with marcus bucking...josh, check out this interview with marcus buckingham.

maybe the below-the-radar reference he makes applies to your situation.

thanks to another marcus for letting me know about this guy.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12125792591159561789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2101059195328496385.post-40369689404769693072009-01-07T14:13:00.000-05:002009-01-07T14:13:00.000-05:00I want to be like that again.
