Guinness and God
Sunday night I'm speaking to a group on how to become a New Breed of Consumers. There's a point I want to make about our consumeristic hungers and about the relationship these hungers have with the draw of God. (Sorry if this is cryptic, but perhaps I'll say more later.)
Anyway, this commercial came to mind.

I've had similar thoughts about my own hungers and wondered, "Why can't I hunger for God like this?"
I'm sure you'll do a great job tonight! be sure to let us know how it goes.
Mmmhmmm. I want my soul to panteth after Him like those fridges panteth after beer...
I hear what both of you are saying and wish the same myself. But it's interesting to think we already do hunger deeply, even if the behaviors we use to satisfy that hunger are disordered.
Having said that, I do wish my worship were healthier.
